Utah 23-5: Brighton Magnificence

The Plan

The plan on the day is Brighton. We didn’t expect to go here at all before the trip, but the reality that the little canyon would be closed today and avalanche control would be in effect, in addition to Alex & Mark’s reviews, and it worked for us today.

We decided to drive ourselves today, however.

The Day

Wow, there is just nothing more to say about this place. I was amazed at how awesome it was here. There was so much fresh powder and it snowed all day that it just kept getting more and more layered on as the day went.

We ended up skiing with Alex & Mark almost all day, save for a time or 2 we got separated. We got in 21 runs in all. The hill is a little smaller than the other ones, but not any less awesome.

The real key on the day was the tree skiing, which was fabulous. Just awesome stuff and today was a step up in the progression of me as a skier.

I loved this day.

And Then

We ate dinner and hung out, which is half the fun of these trips.
