Today started slowly. It is Christmas morning and our kids are no longer young, waking up at the crack of dawn wondering what’s under the tree. Kids these days pretty much get what they want when they want. Truth be told they really don’t ask for much. Phones have changed the paradigm. We woke up slowly and the overcast day made it seem earlier than it was. It was easy to just lay in bed and let the day happen. I eventually woke up and made myself a Christmas cup of coffee. It was grand.
We originally planned to do a half day on the mountain but after talking to D’s mom she talked us into going the full day. So we pretty much did a rinse and repeat of the day before but we started a little bit later. Today’s day on the hill was more or less the same as yesterday, just a bit shorter. It was a degree or two warmer so the ice was a tad softer than yesterday, so it really wasn’t that bad. The fog was a little heavy as the day went on it got worse. Distance to happen a bit more this time of year when it gets warm.
There really wasn’t much of note to talk about other than that. We had a pretty good day on the hill and it was Christmas day.
